The idea was there, but the camera and the lighting didn't quite cooperate. Have I mentioned that I need a better camera? ;0)
.
THEN, Jan helped me adjust the picture. Thank heaven for blog friends! This looks better! Below is Jan's adjustment of my picture:

I do like the composition where the shadows are dominant and the source of the shadows is only outlined. You are perhaps right that the technical quality could be better (mainly sharp picture), but even with very simple free programs like Picasa you can enhance them little after you download them to PC. I tried to play with yours: href="http://www.jdemeven.cz/blog/images/DSCN3839.JPG
I couldn't get the link to pull up, could you please try to send it again?
Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't know about any free programs that could help. I will definitely look into it!
Thank you!

Ha ha, yes you did struggle a little with the comments.
I was able to see the picture you fixed, thanks! I still have a LOT of learning to do.
The biggest problem I have with my camera, is that when I turn the flash off (so I can get a picture of a shadow), the picture is blurry. Any suggestions???
A lot of times, with Dustyn's camera - we just cover the flash a little to disperse the light. (of course they have big fancy filters and such for that purpose, but we just use tissue or a frosted paper, and thing to hold back a little bit of light).
But - I still have a major problem with this. Basically, I need a tripod - then just maybe I could take pictures that aren't so blurry.
i think we all have a little trouble with blurry photos, makes me so mad when a pictre is sooo cute of the kids and it ends up blurry!
This picture is interesting. Try focusing on the lamp and let the back drop shadow on the wall. Even if you focus on the shadow, you'll still get the same kind of look. I would prefer to see the lamp clearly.
But I like it. And love the lamp. Keep taking pictures. :)
Try Canon and using a tripod when there's little lighting.
Thank you, LJ.
Yes, I would have LOVED for the lamp to have been in focus. I still have a lot to learn but I love hearing tips from everyone.
I also think I need to get Photoshop or something like that. You can all do some amazing things with your pictures.
