Macro

I wasn't sure what "Macro" meant, but when I looked it up online it basically described it as a close-up. So here are my close-ups of Hayley.

She was a mess in the above photo. She had just eaten and was heading for the tub!

Dream on! I only wish I had this program. Maybe by the next time it comes around.

Here's a photo of some water with ice cubes in that I messed with just on my Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It looks kind of cool.

I didn't have time to do what I wanted for this theme, so this is what you get. It's great though - the loyalty of this dog and my daughter is amazing! They patiently wait outside the door to the restroom until you come out! Now that's friendship! Not to mention that Poochie is Hayley's best friend in the whole world (besides me, of course). Hayley LOVES that dog!

(I wish I could have taken a picture of the scene a few moments earlier, they were both lying on their bellies trying to look under the door - it was cute)

Hayley had SO much fun in the tub today! How could I resist posting this picture?

I mixed up the days that I was supposed to do the Hot and Cold themes. So "Hot" will be coming tomorrow. Oops!

Cold

I desperately wanted to catch a picture of my husband's breath in the cold air for this theme, but I couldn't get it to appear on camera. Does anyone know how I could get that to work? I still like this picture though.

Openings

I'm a stay-at-home mom, these are the type of openings I see all day!

Glass

It's nice having a husband who works for a window & door company - I was able to see all different kinds of glass. I LOVE this first picture. I like that the second picture shows different textures and designs of glass.

Lines

I had to put two pictures up because I couldn't decide which one I liked better. There's not much difference, but I couldn't decide so I just went with two!

I like the above photo the best

Shadows

The idea was there, but the camera and the lighting didn't quite cooperate. Have I mentioned that I need a better camera? ;0)

Feet

Okay, so I'm not impressed with either of these, but at least I did it! I seriously hate feet - they gross me out (except for my daughter's). I had the hardest time coming up with ideas and since I had to work this weekend, I didn't have the time to be creative. So I just snapped a "lazy feet" picture of my husband lying on the couch watching TV.

The second picture was intended to be one of my daughter's feet. I had an idea in my mind of a beautiful black and white picture of my daughter's feet. However, trying to get a 14-month-old to cooperate for a picture of her feet is impossible. I finally gave up and just snapped a picture of Mickey Mouse's feet. At least he won't forget his right from his left!

I know, there's nothing amazing about this picture, but it matched my mood today so I just went with it.

This morning when I woke up and looked at my daughter I was filled with the overwhelming feeling that she's not a baby anymore. For some reason, this broke my heart. It has been bothering me all day. I really do love to watch my daughter grow and learn new things. I just didn't like the thought of her not being a little baby anymore. Why do kids have to grow up so fast? It's almost not fair!

Photo Blog

My friend Kamie (along with her husband) had the idea to do a "Photo-a-Day" blog. Their purpose is to learn more about photography while having fun. They have set up a theme for each day.

Although I have NO experience or training in photography (and a serious lack of creative juices), I have decided to embark on this journey. I'm sure I won't come up with anything amazing, but it will be fun to try. It will definitely be a learning experience!

I hope to be able to do as many photos as possible, but I know I won't be able to do one for every single day. I'm good, but not that good! ;0) I hope you enjoy my journey!
